Dr Dai Lloyd AM Visits Tŷ Hafan
Plaid Cymru AM for South Wales West, and GP, Dr Dai Lloyd paid a visit to Tŷ Hafan children's hospice last week. The visit was an opportunity for Dr Lloyd to be shown the work of the hospice over the festive period.
Speaking about the visit to Tŷ Hafan Dr Lloyd stated,
"It's wonderful to come to Tŷ Hafan and witness the dedication of all involved with the care for children with life limiting illnesses. While most of us will be enjoying the Christmas period with family & friends and time off work, not everyone is so lucky to be in that position. I'd like to pay tribute to everyone who works and volunteers at Tŷ Hafan for the work they do day in day out, and especially over the coming weeks."
During his visit, Dr Lloyd asked those working and volunteering at Tŷ Hafan about what he as an Assembly Member and the general public could do to help the hospice.
"I am in the privileged position to be able to ask questions and seek assurances from the Government on the issues that impact on, not only Tŷ Hafan, but hospices across Wales. Like all charities, Tŷ Hafan are always on the lookout for volunteers, this doesn't always mean in a charity shop or in the hospice, there are opportunities to help families in need in communities across Wales. The hospice also runs a lottery which helps to raise money for supplies, equipment and staff."
